Sclerotherapy is a treatment where a medical solution is injected into the vein, causing microscopic damage to close the vein. It is used to improve the appearance of spider veins. and reticular veins.

The veins are injected with a solution called a sclerosant which damages the internal lining of the vein and causes blood clotting within the vein. This treatment is excellent for spider veins as well.

Courses

It varies from person to person, but generally, 2-4 treatments are needed for optimal results. In cases with a small number of veins, 1-2 sessions are common.
