Information I collect

When you contact or book with Glass Skin, I collect the details needed to respond and manage your appointment, such as your name and contact details. Before treatment, I ask about relevant medical history, medication and allergies, and keep consultation, consent and treatment records. Clinical photographs or videos may also form part of your confidential treatment record.

If you choose to receive the Glass Skin newsletter or download the guide, I collect the contact details you provide for that purpose.

How I use your information

I use your contact and booking details to answer enquiries, arrange appointments and communicate with you about your care.

I use your medical history, consultation notes, consent records and clinical images to assess whether a treatment is suitable, plan and document treatment, and provide appropriate aftercare. Where a prescription is needed, I share the relevant details with an independent prescriber for their assessment.

I use your details to send the Glass Skin newsletter only if you have chosen to receive it. I use treatment images for promotion only where you have given separate permission.

Who may receive your information

I use Faces Consent to manage bookings, medical forms, consent and treatment records. When a prescription is required, I share the relevant information with the independent prescriber and, where necessary, the dispensing pharmacy.

I use Wix to receive website enquiries and MailerLite to manage guide downloads and newsletter subscriptions. These services handle information on Glass Skin’s behalf for those purposes. I do not give them access to your treatment records for marketing.

Clinical photographs kept on the clinic laptop remain part of your treatment records. I only publish treatment images when you have given separate permission.

How long I keep your information

​

I keep treatment records, including relevant clinical images, for as long as they are needed for your care and to meet applicable legal, insurance and professional requirements or address a complaint or claim. In deciding how long to keep a record, I consider when you last attended, the treatment provided and any relevant record-keeping requirements. I securely delete information when it is no longer needed.

I keep newsletter details while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, I stop sending newsletters and may retain a limited record of your preference so that you are not added again by mistake.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate, or ask me to restrict or delete information where the law allows. You may also have the right to object to certain uses of your information or receive a copy in a portable format.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in an email or by contacting me. You can also withdraw permission for future promotional use of your treatment images by emailing hello@glassskin.co.uk.

If you have a concern about how I handle your information, please contact me first so I can look into it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
